How We Ship Chicago Food Cold — And Keep It That Way

Every frozen order leaves Chicago in an insulated liner packed with dry ice, sized to the weight of the box and the distance it has to travel.

We ship Monday through Wednesday only. That keeps packages out of weekend warehouses, where a box can sit for two days losing its cold chain. Orders placed after Sunday night roll to the next shipping window.

When your box lands, open it outside or in a ventilated room, handle any remaining dry ice with a towel, and move everything to the freezer right away. Items that arrive firm and frosted are exactly where they should be — a little surface frost is normal and does not affect quality.
